This weekend I experimented with autoresearch — an approach where AI agents autonomously survey literature, extract key findings, and synthesize reports — and it struck me how naturally this maps onto quantitative research. Both disciplines share the same core challenge: sifting through vast amounts of information to surface the signals that matter. I'm curious to explore how autoresearch workflows can complement and accelerate the quant research process, from hypothesis generation to factor discovery.
